Leslie Goldman, Your Enchanted Gardener, outside the Silent Movie.
About a mile or so from the Garden of Palms Assisted Living facility, is The Silent Movie on Fairfax Ave. As a teen, I would escape Friday nights from the loneliness of the loss of my mother to walk to the nearby theatre when I was exposed as a teen to Charlie Chaplin and the works of many Silent Movie Era stars. I have had a vision that I might return to this place to read some of my own poetry on stage. The Silent Movie is within walking distance of Canter’s Deli. I have another project for that place, Healthy Condiments for Canters. This would be a noble gesture and offering to the Jewish people and others who visit this celebrated eating places that shares GMO foods, unsuspecting that they may be hurting health. See the video of my friend, Jeremy Seifert, to view one of my favorite recent films that I will have reviewed here by The Fussy Teenager http://curezone.org/blogs/fm.asp?i=2193480

TAKING BACK THE ESSENE MATERIALS
This was the first video I made using the I-movie Tech for Trailers…it is a spoof…The Essenes are a Soul Group that has existed among others since the time of the Foundation of the Earth, intending to do good to uplift Humanity. They have had various expressions throughout history. I call myself Your Enchanted Gardener. I am ordained as an Essene Minister through the Essene Foundation, that was renamed that. It was originally the FIrst Christians Essene Church, as established by Edmond Bordeaux Szekely, the 20th century Essene Renaissance prophet. On the exoteric side, he co-founded Rancho La Puerta, originally called The Essene School of Life in 1943. I am one of the last ordained ministers of Edmond Bordeaux Szekely. For an Essene Biography and early Testimonials go here. The last scenes in this spoof were from footage made at the Universalist Church in Maryland. The program was September 24, 2011, a panel that showed the film Farmageddon, the Unseen War on American Family Farmers. My intention set during that time was to help made this unseen war, seen.

Between August 22, 2011 and into February 2012, my life was consumed with two projects on the homefront. One was stabilizing the need for four rooms. The second was working toward an Overgrowth Cleanup mandated by the city. Numbers of videos were made.
Looking forward to the 2012 season, that begins each year with the Natural Product Expo West, I am just now catching up with much of the work that happened in Washington.
Here are a few links about that trip.
The Videos have not been updated and highlights from 2011 still need to be created and displayed.
VIDEOS FROM THE CAMPAIGN TO EDUCATE WASHINGTON ON REAL FOOD SAFETY
BY LESLIE GOLDMAN YOUR ENCHANTED GARDENER
In 2010, I worked many months on the idea of a Campaign to Educate Washington on Real Food Safety. This work had to do with the Food Safety Modernization Act. Some of these videos below were created during that time. In 2011, The Campaign for Food Safety culminated with an East Coast Tour September 15-25, 2011. This tour was highly successful.

This videos of Barry Logan, one of our most popular community farmers, are historic.
VIDEOS MADE WITH BARRY LOGAN
Barry Logan speaks on Food Safety
Barry Logan Speaks Out, the Monday before the shutdown of the Farm Sept 18, 2010.
Barry Logan Speaks Out on September 18, 2010 at La Milpa Organic Farm about the shutdown of the farm. He closed the farm due to a climate of over-regulation. He felt it was impossible to continue his experiment in micro-farming with so many restrictions to water. He taught students from around the world how to garden and traded them for labor. He gave them a stipend. He did not pay workman’s compensation to the state. He allowed students to live in simple structures. All who came were grateful for what they learned.
Barry Logan Speaks Out during the Hillcrest Farmers’ Market about his views that micro-farmers, at the scale he farmed, less than a few acres, should not be regulated. Beet Keepers believes that for Real Food Safety we need at least one million more gardeners and micro-farmers in America. Home gardeners and micro-farmers are the backbone of Real Food Safety. The large scale Ag system is the source of much of the Food Safety contamination. People need home economics once again. They need to be trained how to wash vegetables and the intent of food. Food is not a commodity. It’s purpose is help you Plant Your Dream.
VIDEO MADE AT THE IRC FARM
The IRC Farm, will always hold a significant role in San Diego Sustainability. It helped give birth to a significant movement in San Diego toward more community gardens and the beginning of Urban Agriculture. The IRC Farm drew national attention with Michelle Obama coming here on April 15, 2010. Amy Lint and Malaki Obado, man and wife, were key players in this time of significant development for our city. Grow Strong is now their focus. Their last contribution was the HoneyFest 2012 in January. I played a role in the ceremony work and lifted the spirit of the event through my blogs and activity.
Both Amy and Malaki contributed great support to me. There is a video I want to put up of Malaki.
Rivathi spoke in San Diego on World Environment Day, June 6, 2010. She visited the IRC New Roots Farm where Michelle Obama had come to visit a few months before. She has trained more than 200,000 people in India to farm organically without the health expense of pesticides. She has seen the damage caused by GEO foods on the ground where many farmers have committed suicide. I see the future of Monsanto, one of the lead producers of GEO foods being different. I believe that they will turn to a more nature form of agriculture in the years to come. I welcome a Dialogue on Science, Ethics, and Food between convention, GEO, and organic Growers. Out of this dialogue, we will determine the best agriculture for America.
HERE ARE SOME VIDEOS ABOUT MALAKI, HONEYFEST 2012, AND HIS WORK WITH GROW STRONG IN KENYA

This is one of my favorite videos Made at the Venice Eco Fest in the Summer of 2010
The video captures an experience of rain falling that I attributed in part to the ceremony work I was doing.
It goes with this Plant Your Dream Blog on Curezone.

THIS IS AN IMPORTANT STATEMENT ABOUT FOOD SHORTAGES FOR OLD FRIEND SCOTT MURRAY
Do you think it is time to grow some Food?
Scott Murray, an organic farmer for many years, in this short video addresses the impending food shortages we would have because of our current farm model. We have turned agriculture over to large corporations who care more for profit per acre than nutrition per acre.
“We could not survive for a week if we had a famine in the United States.”–Scott Murray.

THE CAMPAIGN TO EDUCATE WASHINGTON ON REAL FOOD SAFETY
These were the original aims of this Beet Keeper, Return Project
1-To support mobilization of one Farmers’ Market in our local area, the Hillcrest Farmers’ Market in San Diego. To continue to work with local organic farmers and help them sell more of their produce. This work is ongoing.
Hillcrest Farmers’ Market

To Develop the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community Growing Grounds
2-To continue to develop a 1/3 acre parcel of land near San Diego State College named the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community Growing Grounds where those who live here and who live around the world may study our process of learning how to keep the beat with nature through learning to live together cooperatively as a household that seeks to live in harmony with the earth. The motto of the house will be Keep The Beet. Through growing a simple beet in a pot, we can regain our beat with nature. Not all in the house garden. Some like to prepare food. Others help with other jobs, or rent. The land, as of January 2010 is being refinanced. A Trust to hold the land is being explored. The Seed Dream would be to leave a museum and park for future generations to learn from this experiment in cooperative living that has been going on since the early 1970′s. The intent is that what we learn here can help others, and Washington, understand and adapt to some of the shifts being asked of all of us now.
To Develop Relationship with those who influence Washington and Government
3- To develop relationships with those who influence Washington and to influence government.
I saw a vast coalition across all political, religious, and philosophical lines being formed. Mainstream media needs to be reached through bloggers filling the gap where journalism once told all points of view. Elected leaders need to be encouraged to follow the principles expressed in the song “America The Beautiful.”
This came to fruition on my first tour of the East Coast September 15-25, 2011.

A Shift has Happened: The Tipping Point is Now
4- We see the world as we know it now coming to an end. A Shift has already happened. It is for each of us to adapt to the earth and relearn the laws of nature, rather than attempt to further adapt nature to our ways. The source of our economic and health crisis is that we have lost our beat with nature. We can regain the beet through becoming once again a nation of gardeners who live in a world of gardeners. One Pot+One person=You are a Gardener. Start to grow your own food now.
