Marlon Frausto was one of the new volunteers who showed up for Cultivating Food Justice Potluck, February 19 with new ideas and energy for this year Cultivating Food Justice Event that will be the first week of May 2012. The idea of creating a week where we demonstrate what it would be like to live as San Diego, The Nation’s Finest City, was inspired by ideas he brought up.

A spirit of integration between youth and elders, between those who eat all kinds of foods will take place. Come share your personal Food Story. Sit together and sup. Attend workshops and hands-on experiences. No one will go hungry here at this freely giving event co-sponsored by many local groups. Help demonstrate–for a week or more–what it would be like to live together in San Diego, a city that aspires to be the Nation’s Finest City. “Lettuce Come Together” from North County to the Border, from East County to the Sea. Spread our wealth in knowing it is earth that feeds us. Help build more fertile soil South of Market Street and 31st at King-Chávez School.
“Angels Go where they are needed most…”
Years ago, I was at a hot springs called Eden. Those were my mystical days. I was sitting with an intuitive. There were many beautiful pools of hot water nearby, and this appeared to be one pool that needed some clean up and hard work. I asked the intuitive why were were having our gathering there when we could be in a more beautiful place on the surface. He paused, looked around, saw thing I did not see, and said, “Angels go where they are needed most.” That is how I feel about the group of Volunteers who yearly pull off the Cultivating Food Justice Event each Spring. They go where they are needed most. They leave a profound impact. It is an honor to go where they go.
“Uncle Leslie” as named by the Kids;
Your Enchanted Gardener to some
PHOTO: This photo above was taken at the Guilford Country Fair outside Madison, Connecticut during my East Coast Tour, September 15-25, 2011. The tour, by the way, would not have been possible financially if it had not been for Horizon Organics, who picked up my tab for hotel, flight, and entry in the Organic Summit, a gathering of Organic Stakeholders, including David Bronner, whose company Bronner Magic Soap has contributed $1 million to help get the Label GMOs petition on the ballot in California. The National Guard were heroes for me that day. I prayed for their safety. I wear the ribbon for my nametag that says “National Guard.” I see these men and women helping in the years ahead as we take on our Food Emergency. We will need many gardens planted, and the military will become farmers.
I will likely eat pizza at the upcoming Cultivating Food Justice Integration event. I will eat foods with GMOs and other gifts of foods homemade I might never eat. I will enjoy all that is given, and I will bring Organic, locally grown food to the table because that is how I normally eat and what I like to share. It all goes together when we integrate. It all is O.K. It is life as we know it now as we share our Food Stories.

We are now heading for King-Chávez School.
About King-Chávez School: It’s About the LOVE!
The King-Chávez name is more than an honoring of the names of great 20th century civil rights leaders. It is our commitment to serve the poor and work with institutions serving the poor. We believe that the philosophical essence of our work is to be a beacon of hope through carrying on the living work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Cesar Chávez. Politically, our calling is to be an agent of change on forefront of American educational reform. Our task is to run excellent schools. We believe that we can transform education in our communities in our time.
Corporate Mission – The Mission of King-Chávez Public Schools is “We Seek Excellence and Equality in Education from the Foundation of Love.” We realize that the current state of public education is fundamentally failing our country’s most vulnerable people; children in poverty. ANIMALS TURN AWAY FROM FOODS THAT CONTAIN GMOs BUT PEOPLE ARE DRAWN TO THEM
Talking Beet Keep The Beet tells me now that a whole generation of youth and adults have been drawn to GMOs in our foods. The only memory the body knows is GMOs. We have been trained to eat these foods that give us allergic reactions and allow us to live on minimal life support, far from the blueprint of life as intended. GMOs are wonderful for helping the GMP stay gross! GMOs go with taking pharmaceutical drugs. They help us need them. The purpose of food is to help Plant Your Dream. The purpose of GMOs is to feed the masses and keep them being a blob, ununique, sick, fat & Nearly Dead. The purpose of the Beet Keepers is to help kids of all ages take their unique Dreams out of the Box–the Magic Box!!!!–Leslie Goldman, Your Enchanted Gardener
“Animals turn away from GMO Foods, but people who do not garden have lost their sixth sense to know the difference”–Keep The Beet Media Star, The World’s First Talking Beet Plant
ANIMALS CAN TELL GMO FOODS FROM NON GMO FOODS, JEFFREY SMITH TELLS US IN THIS VIDEO
Animals can tell GMO–Genetically Engineered foods from Non GMO foods and will turn away from it, these cows demonstrate. We have lost this sixth sense, says, Jeffrey Smith.
This is why we need to all work to get GMO’s Labeled so every body can decide the role they want to play in the Rock Your Soul Opera. Every role is good, says talking beet, but people need a Right to Know what is in their food.
Yikes, Kids, what are we going to do with this information???

Youth is impressed with Flower Essence Service Flourish Sprays
Dear Uncle Leslie,
I was very impressed by the natural sprays. You had different types of mixtures which I was interested in trying, because I remember I sprayed this one essence and when I was going home all my emotions settled and I felt brand new.

Suggestions for using Grounding Green, part of the Flourish Line of Remedies for Body Soul Integration:
* Motivates when feelings of discouragement, despair, or apathy threaten one’s positive outlook and active commitment to work for the healing and transformation of the Earth
* Cultivates connection for children who do not feel bonded with Nature due to excessive urbanization and technological influences
What Dr. Bernard Jensen said, “I have made my choice! Which do you choose?”
Dr. Bernard Jensen is my spiritual father. He treated more than 350,000 patients using Nature’s Cures. He taught me many important things about food and that is how I became Uncle Leslie to many school children and college Youth. Heshowed me an iron nail, and then, he would have ripe fresh cherries in the other hand. He would say, both these foods are high in the mineral Iron, but I have decided to get my Iron from ripe fresh cherries. Then he would say, “Which iron do you choose?”
Label GMO’s Can Be on The California Ballot with your Signature.
Today, We have lot of choices for where our iron will come from, and all of the other minerals we can get from the periodic table. We even can get Iron with trinkles of delicious flavored GMOs on it, but most of us are in the dark about which foods are Genetically Engineered to have Genetical Modified Organisms in them. Most of us do not even now what GMOs are and the FDA would like to keep it that way. All I am asking is, Let’s parents and kids decide what they want to choose for themselves. Label GMOs so every body can decide. This is a ballot measure that is going to be up for a vote this November in the California election, but before we do that, we, those living in California, all have to sign a petition so it gets on the ballot.
Between February 15 and April 22, every body has a chance to sign. Go here for more information about Label GMOs and where to sign. We only need about 850,000 good signatures to get on the ballot. A good signature means the person who signs is registered to vote. To be registered the place where you live has to be where you get your ballot.

Garden Management Journal,
February 24, 2012
It is a less than two weeks before the Natural Product Expo West. I am coming off of a very difficult five months. I did not realize until this morning, in the depth of fog overshadowing the Arosa Canyon Rim, how divorced and shocked I had become. The threat of Roundup herbicide on this bit of land outside my window went deep inside. That threat is still there. The other day I was deep in writing and heard sounds. It broke my concentration. My motivation turned to another thread of thought completely, starting to create a summary of the five month journey of an immense Overgrowth cleanup on the land and nearby canyon.
This early morning I was using the sprays of Flourish. I will using Grounding Green now. Yesterday was a fateful day. I was missing hearing from Jann Garrity at the FES office. She had not returned my call of a week ago. I have felt so cut off from the momentum I felt when I came home from Washington and my East Coast Tour. The photos this morning are lovely. I regained my vision. I am so grateful to my sponsors, some of them are generous Organic Industry “elite” that are so maligned on the internet. I wonder if the source of that some of that PR is not Monsanto itself. There are forces inside us that do an extraordinary job of dividing what could gain so much from unity.
I will call upon the “elite” to once again show their generosity in the upcoming 2012 Cultivating Food Justice Event I am naming “Food Justice Integration.” As usual, they will outpour their good. I am not so concerned with where they get their money has how they spend it. Much good coming into the world stemns from their generosity. They are my heroes and heroines in the play of life called the Rock Your Soul Opera.
Visiting the Orange Tree
I just came in from the orange tree. I brought oranges to the OTA festive events years ago when we had the banquet on the West Coast. This morning, I witnessed a most amazing site. I heard it first. It was the mother hummingbird overhead. Then I saw her stretch her body in the next and send her mother love into the mouths of the babies.
It will still take me awhile to get over the shock on the land here. I will need help asking helpers to dig out the Arundo roots to hold back this threat of Roundup coming closer. This is the year we are beginning to push Monsanto back. It is O.K. by me if they become a little company again in Saint Louis. Maybe one day they will regroup and go Organic, too.
