LAUNCHED THE ENCHANTED GARDEN PANTRY TODAY

I set out to launch the Enchanted Garden Pantry today. I am one week away–that’s seven days from the opening of the Pacific Symposium Pre-conference. Set up of sunflowers is next Monday night at the Catamaran Resort Hotel & Spa.

Today, October 25, Lisa Schwind, Marketing Director for Eden Foods, one of my favorite companies in the Organic Industry fulfilled my order for some really great products that will be sampled at the Pacific Symposium as well as be featured in our new Enchanted Garden Pantry here at home. Below in this blog you will read about the Enchanted Garden Pantry, and the vision that will grow into a local neighborhood resource in a time of Food Emergency. Today is the day for each of us being an Organic Uprising, each of us Standing Up for Nature’s Original Technology.

THE ENCHANTED GARDEN PANTRY
WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT?

For many years, I have watched the growth of the Organic Industry. My own personal health has improved as I have partaken of whole, pure, natural Foods. In our home that I share with others, we have always loved foods. Coming together for festive eating on special occasions has always been a special event. Although numbers of residents have different diets, we basically all enjoy good foods.

THE ENCHANTED GARDEN PANTRY WILL OFFER GIFTS OF PRODUCTS FOR YOUR SERVICE HELPING US
WITH OUR ENCHANTED GARDEN MAKEOVER AND OVERGROWTH CLEAN UP

An Overgrowth Clean Up began on our 1/3 acre property, working in alignment with the San Diego Fire Prevention Bureau. The aim is to join with neighbors on the Arosa Canyon–my name for the canyon bordering our home and other houses–and work toward lessening the potential of fire, while taking the next steps toward community building. In August, we rented a massive shredder-chipper from A1 Rentals nearby. We shared the cost will one of Chris Freeman, our closest neighbor. He worked alongside us. Chris helped us mulch hundreds of pounds of plant material.

OUR NEXT MAKEOVER AND CLEAN UP DAY IS OCTOBER 29-30, 2011

We will offer gifts to those who come to time share for services rendered. More on this idea below.

THE SECOND ENCHANTED GARDEN PANTRY WILL BE AT HAMI HIGH SCHOOL

This is a favorite spot for the role I play when I enter the classroom. I did so on October 5, 2011, while in Los Angeles.

The youth are being sent a set of Flourish Flower Essence Formulas that work with emotions. The youth at Hami High, where they have a model garden–projected to be a People’s Garden in my inner vision–enjoyed eating a yellow watermelon from JR Organics, as well as being introduced to these amazing Biodynamic Sprays that influence my emotions. There are practitioners around the world that testify to the success of these remarkable flower essences that speak for themselves once used.

FEEDBACKS FROM THE HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH AT HAMILTON HIGH SCHOOL
LOS ANGELES

http://plantyourdream.net/?p=4498
Dear Uncle Leslie,

I was very impressed by the natural sprays. You had different types of mixtures which I was interested in trying, because I remember I sprayed this one essence and when I was going home all my emotions settled and I felt brand new.

ANOTHER YOUTH GAVE THIS TOUCHING FEEDBACK

Dear Uncle Leslie,

I really enjoyed your presentation yesterday. It uplifted my spirits and made me feel like I had to do something to make our planet better. Personally, I don’t eat vegetables but everything you said changed my mind about it. I do need to change my eating habits and I do need to grow my own vegetables. You kept the classes’ attention. You were funny, and you kept us interested. You’ll probable be the man that’ll actually get our generation to do their part in helping rebuild our enchanted garden.

Sincerely,

INTRODUCING YOUTH TO ORGANIC FOODS

Introducing Youth, beginning at Hamilton High School, to organic food and natural remedies is another pilot project

“THAT’S ORGANIC! THAT’S REAL FOOD!”

Youth at Hamilton High School enjoy an organic yellow watermelon from J.R. Organics, fifth and sixth generation local organic farmers from San Diego County. Securing The Organic Future at the Rodriguez Ranch, a land that needs to be back in the family hands, is one fundraising project on my Radar.

WHAT ONE YOUTH HAD TO SAY ABOUT THE YELLOW WATERMELON AND UNCLE LESLIE IN THE CLASSROOM

Dear Uncle Leslie,

I really enjoyed the lecture you gave us (and the watermelon!) It taught me that you need to eat all of the right foods to be whole and live your dream. I could relate to a lot of it, especially the part about planting your seed to live your dream, even if you don’t know what your dream is quite yet. Something you taught me was to eat organic foods because they are much healthier. Also, you taught me that shopping at local farmers markets will benefit us and the farmer. The local farmers really care about our well being and after I ate the watermelon, I believe it. The whole presentation was very interesting and educational in a good way. Thanks for taking your time and talking to us about this important subject.

THE ENCHANTED GARDEN PANTRY INCLUDES THE ENCHANTED GARDEN PHARMACY:
WE ARE SPEAKING HERE OF FOOD AS MEDICINE; AND SPECIFIC SUPPLEMENTS AS FOODS THAT HELP THE SOUL
STAY CONNECTED IN THE BODY.

Once upon a time, we had rich soil and from it grew foods biodynamic in nature. Today we have few foods that allow the Soul to speak through the body. This state of connection has recoiled into little bottles; but hopefully through more and more of us being an Organic Uprising, Each of Us Standing Up for Nature’s Original Technology, we will let the genie out of the little bottles and Occupy our planet once again with the Soul in the driver’s seat of our lives.

Toward this end, I am doing the upcoming Pacific Symposium, November 2-6. I have an exhibit where I will show products I admire November 4-5-6. This event is a synthesis for me, and this year will be a celebration of all I did the last year. At last year’s Closing Ceremony on Sunday, I announced I was going to Washington. As many things I say, this was an intention. Guess What? I did it!!!!!

ITINERARY OF EAST COAST TOUR SEPTEMBER 15-25

Wow! We did it! Thanks to Feng Shui with Lurrae and my sponsors Horizon Organic. Kelly Shea was instrumental in helping me get to the East Coast.

There are already two deliveries on their way to each. The two orders are coming from Flower Essence Services. I guess it is strange to consider Flower Essences Food, but it our world in a Food Emergency, I am sad to say that what was once a state of Food as Medicine has now evolved, or rather devolved to the place where what is left of the Enchanted Garden is in little bottles, and in the inventory of foods grown out for therapeutic purposes, by our local organic farmers, and to some extent, in Organic+ Produce and Products that can be purchased as your local Health Food Store or Online.

You can journey through the weekly harvest at the Hillcrest and North Park Farmers’ Market through this Facebook site. The Hillcrest Farmers’ Market is one of the most popular in San DIego. It is held from 9 am-2 pm on Sundays at the Hillcrest DMV.

This is a photo of Sunny, a student at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. I have bottles of very powerful peppermint from Jonathan Shaloka that I will be offering to farmers and shoppers at the Farmers’ Market. Sunny loves the peppermint. I got permission to have Morea Garcia sell some of Jonathan’s oils. This was a breakthrough. The Peppermint Oil is one offering that I will sell in the Pantry at a discount to those who help.

ONE OF THE INTENTIONS WILL BE TO EDUCATE THE CITY OF SAN DIEGO FIRE DEPARTMENT,
ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES, AND THE MIRAMAR GREENERY ABOUT NEEDED POTENTIAL SHIFTS
IN THE WAY WE MANAGE ARUNDO DONAX

THE MIRAMAR GREENERY, SAN DIEGO’S GREEN RECYCLING CENTER SAID ARUNDO DONAX COULD NOT BE MULCHED.
WE PROVED IT COULD BE MULCHED.

My first conversation with Slyvia Sowadski of the San Diego Fire Prevention Bureau occcurred over the phone the Tuesday morning of August 23, 2011. One of the shocks of our first conversation was the statement that the Arundo Donax Stands bordering our 1/3 acre property needed to come down to prevent fire hazards and that the roots of these stands needed to be killed with Round Up Glysophate. This was the standard procedure for many parks, where the trend is away from herbicide and pesticide use. As this conversation was happening, the Washington 5.9 earthquake occurred 3000 miles away.

ROUND READY DANGERS

Round Up and Glysophate products will be a considered a hazardous waste within a number of years. Through what we do here managing our stands naturally, including experiments to kill some of the roots naturally, and show potential benefits of this crop, I intend with the support of the USDA Organic sector, local and national sponsors, and Enchanted Garden Club Beet Keeper members, educate about the potential dangers of Round Up that has done enough harm to no longer be considered an option for garden and farm management.

OTHER INTENTIONS OF OUR INSIDE HOME MAKEOVER AND OUTSIDE OVERGROWTH CLEAN UP INCLUDE EVEN MORE SIGNIFICANT GOALS

These will include:

MOVING FORWARD WITH THE OVERGROWTH CLEAN UP
1. Moving forward to help prevent fires.
2. Moving forward to motivate and inspire cooperating and direct communication among neighbors.
3. Moving forward to create an alignment with the City of San Diego Fire Department and its FIre Prevention Bureau. Giving them support in the need for people to be educated about FIre Prevention.
4. Moving forward making sure we are ensuring our the best possible future here for the Arosa Canyon as a Nature Preserve and future property to be dedicated as a community park land upholding teaching organic values and cooperative living between people and with other species of life.
5. Moving forward with facts more than fears about plant growth and the role of plants as the centerpiece of human health and evolution.
6. Moving forward with a positive attitude about the outcomes we desire.
7. Moving forward during these Shifting times where neighbors can regain their confidence that they can grow foods organically.
8. Moving forward seeing the opportunity here on our property as a community resource and hub where neighbors, and nearby students of SDSU can look for Quintessential Solutions to the Compelling Health Issues of Facing Us.

(Draft two of the list, 1:32 am; October 26, 2011)

BRIEF HISTORY OF OUR OVERGROWTH CLEAN UP

In mid August, we and other property owners along the Arosa Canyon rim, received letters from Sylvia Sowadski of the San Diego Fire Prevention Bureau, that we needed to address fire hazards on our properties and in the canyon our homes border. This stimulated a massive cleanup on our 1/3 acre community building with neighbors, and the opportunity within our intentional living community to be of greater service to both the FIre Department and our play a more active role in determining the future of our San Diego State College area that is destined for heavy redevelopment. The canyons need to be a conscious part of that development. They provide valuable environmental assets including influencing air quality, providing open space, and a home for other species both animal and plant life.

ONE OF THE FIRST CONCERNS THAT CAME UP TO BE ADDRESSED WAS THE FUTURE OF ENORMOUS ARUNDO DONAX STANDS BORDERING THE CANYON RIM ON LAND OWNED BY OUR NEIGHBORS

One of the first concerns was how to manage these stands. The prevaling remedy of Arundo Donax was eradication with Round Up Glysophate products.

There is increasing awareness that Round Up Glysophate is dangerous to soil health, animal life, plant life, and human life.
It is implicated in cancer in humans. My first thought was that through this stand of Arundo Donax, we could begin to educate about better ways to manage Arundo Donax.

In subsequent Plant Your Dream Blogs, I was lead down a trail of information from around the world that included reports and research. Some said that it could be managed naturally, and the roots killed naturally. Other reports, pointed out that Arundo Donax is one of the the fastest growing plants in the world and one of the top choices for biofuel use.

My first conversations with the Miramar Greenery, the recycling component of our San Diego Landfill, told me that Arundo Donax was to be considered a waste and that it needed to go into the landfill. This concerned me very much, both from a stand point of the additional cost of disposal at the landfill and the cost to tax payers. We already have a landfill crisis, no more room.

ONGOING RESEARCH IS ON PROGRESS ON WORKING ORGANICALLY WITH ARUNDO DONAX HERE….

Increasingly, as I began to research Arundo Donax, this reed like cane called bamboo by many, I began impressed that Arundo Donax was I am impressed with the likelihood that Arundo Donax was a magnificent gift from nature that is implicated in our Bright Green Future for San Diego and other cities as we make peace with this shocking plant that is labeled an invasive species. I found a number of reports that contradicted the status quo about Around Donax, \notably as a Biofuel source. In many cultures, this reed is used for building materials, screens, musical instruments, and basket making. It is a potential source of income as a mulch and most of all, as a way to help children, raised in our nature deprived society, make some contact with a plant that can be used to light of the imagination of kids as a building material for their school projects.

GOODS AND SERVICES FROM THE
ENCHANTED GARDEN PANTRY WILL BE GIVEN IN EXCHANGE FOR TIME SHARE SERVICE
HELPING US WITH OUR MAKEOVER AT THE HOUSE AND OVERGROWTH CLEANUP

The concept of the Enchanted Garden Pantry had already been brewing in my head for numbers of years.

One of my intents was to hire helpers to manage our Overgrowth Clean Up as well do a Makeover on our old home. I wanted to trade Organic Produce and Products from our sponsors for help given. For years, I have been developing these sponsor relationships with the Plant Your Dream Blogs. This came to a state of fulfillment in the Spring of 2011, when more than 95% of the top companies and individuals I sought as sponsors came through for me. This lead to one an offer of Horizon Organic through my friendship with Kelly Shea, offering to help me speak my message nationally. This came to pass through 21 days on the road and an East Coast Tour, September 15-25 through six or more states and included a powerful speaking opportunity at the Organic Listening Day September 20 at the USDA Headquarters in Washington.

THE NEXT PHASE OF GROWTH ON THE PLANT YOUR DREAM BLOG WILL BE TO
HONOR THE FINEST PRODUCE AND PRODUCTS I KNOW DELIVERED TO THE WORLD BY SOME OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE IN THE WORLD I KNOW:

The following is a list of products and services that are already in use.

FOODS AND MEDICINES IN THE THE ENCHANTED GARDEN PANTRY

Julia Sabin is outgoing president of the Organic Trade Association (OTA) and one of the most gorgeous women I know both inside and out. She is a devoted mom, wife, daughter, and organic advocate, serving to build an important bridge between the companies she admins and the larger umbrella that owns the organic companies she midwifes. Such is the nature of the growth of the Organic Industry often. Scale produces buyouts; the organic businesses under the umbrellas will rise up as cream goes to the top. Julia serves the organic industry well as one of our cheerleaders and is one of my favorites in the industry

SANTA CRUZ ORGANICS AND K.W.KNUDSEN’S
ARE TWO OF THE DRINKS IN OUR ENCHANTED GARDEN PANTRY

I especially want to see these drinks in Ms. Eva Becker’s classroom at Hami High School. I am Uncle Leslie in that classroom to the youth. On a recent visit I brought yellow organic watermelon from JR Organics as well as Flower Essence Flourish sprays. They were a hit.

QUINTESSENTIAL SOLUTIONS FOR THE COMPELLING HEALTH ISSUES FACING US

On this link you will find a listing of other health products that I recommend. These are Quintessential Solutions for the Compelling Health Issues facing Us.

THE PACIFIC SYMPOSIUM IS MY YEARLY OUTREACH CONFERENCE WHERE I EXHIBIT THE PRODUCTS AND PRODUCE I LIKE

Numbers of these products are featured at the yearly Pacific Symposium each November. Through the year, I carry them with me in the Enchanted Garden Mobile, my 68 VW Van. The Pacific Symposium is a landmark conference that draws together the leaders in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Alternative Healing from around the nation and the world. For many years, I have brought plant life to the conference and created an Enchanted Garden Installation across from the Registration area. This large Enchanted Garden Installation has been a gateway to the Pacific Symposium. This year, I am transitioning to have a single exhibit vendor space in the Rosseau Room, as well as expanding into Blogging and making Videos from the Pacific Symposium.

GALLERY SPONSORS OF IMAGES AND VIDEOS FROM THE PACIFIC SYMPOSIUM

My sponsors also include Gallery Sponsors for the 2011 Plant Your Dream Blogs that will be written during and following the Pacific Symposium. The Pacific Symposium is a gateway to contact with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Community of Acupuncturists and alternative healers.

EDEN FOODS

This is a photo of me smoozing with Michael Potter of Eden Foods at the recent Natural Produce Expo East in Baltimore. I esteem Michael Potter for his nose for the highest quality of foods and products around. He esteemed the FES Sprays, and Jonathan Shaloka Pure Peppermint I had with me, as well as the Purative Appliance that produces contamination-free water and removes radiation concerns about water.

Here are Plant Your Dream Blogs about Eden Foods. I love this company. Eden Foods sets a standard of excellence. An example is the BPA-Free lining can of Michael Potter.

EDEN CHIPS AND CRACKER WILL BE AT THE PACIFIC SYMPOSIUM
http://www.edenfoods.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=84&products_id=6800

These are some of my favorite snack foods.

There are a number of “slot machines” at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Mission Valley. One of my ongoing pre-occupations is improving the quality of foods in these vending machines. Many products sold are the conventional foods with GMO and grown by conventional farming methods that favor pesticides and herbicides. One of my goals in the 2011-2011 Enchanted Garden Campaign Season will be to see at least one or more foods from Eden in the vending machines at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.

EDEN TEAS WILL BE OFFERED IN A BREAK OUT TIME AT THE PACIFIC SYMPOSIUM

I AM PART OF THE PACIFIC COLLEGE COMMUNITY

I am part of this community bringing flowers each week from JR Organics and motivating the students to join the CSA and support the local farmers’ Market. Many weeks of the year I receive acupuncture, and enter into fellowship with various students and faculty. Often I attend the Student Council Meetings.

Participating here is my opportunity to share my own experiences in healing with the upcoming doctors of for a new generation. In previous generations these would have been M.D. At the school and at its Pacific Symposium, a hold the space for what is sacred in the healing arts.

BRAGG LIVE FOODS

Bragg Sprinkles, from my dear friend Patricia Bragg’s Life Force Foods, was a big hit at Sunday’s Hillcrest Farmers’ Market, where I added this wonderful organic blend of herbs without salt to ripe picked heirloom tomatoes grow by JR Organics. The Rodriguez Family, behind JR Organics is moving into its fifth and sixth generation now of organic farmers. I make a point of visiting with Patricia Bragg at each year’s Natural Product Expo West. Dr. John Westerdahl, her heads the Bragg’s health foundation, invented delightful drinks that I sampled at last year’s Pacific Symposium. These were an amazing hit. Bragg products are already part of life in the Enchanted Garden. It is an honor to spread the word about them here at home and on the road. Patricia Bragg is an amazing health crusader as evident by the Bragg Live Food web site. Patricia is the daughter of Paul Bragg, who created the idea of the Health Food Store. Paul Bragg was friends with my spiritual father, Dr. Bernard Jensen (1909-2001, the health pioneer and elder of the Natural Healing Arts, who even in spirit is my constant inspiration and guide. I wrote a number of the Dr. Bernard Jensen books, bringing his ideas to the written page.

DR BRONNER MAGIC SOAPS AND PRODUCTS

If the timing is right, you will find these Dr Bronner soaps in the bathrooms at this years Pacific Symposium, maybe a sample kit of my favorite soaps the foster Fair Trade and Peace every time you wash or clean up. What a perfect expression of the an Essential Message of Peace. For the more Esoteric reading this, Google Dr. Bronner Essene Rabbi. I am also an Essene minister, although for simplicity of explaination, Your Enchanted Gardener suffices for me.

David Bronner, president of Dr. Bronners carries on the family tradition of doing good in the world. I see and seed ( that’s my lingo for planting intentions) the Dr. Bronner soaps and cleaning products being in every hotel in the nation. Every time you wash up or clean up with Peppermint soap (and the other “flavors,” or use Sal Suds, the best cleaning agent I know for dishes and general cleaning, you are bring peace and fair trade to the world. The olive oil in the soaps is made from a blending of Christian, Jewish, and Moslem olive tree farmers in Israel area. Dr. Bronner was considered insane by some for his ranting vision of a world that was All One. I carry the same message, as do the sons and grandsons of Emanuel Bronner, of the Dr. Bronner Magic Soapbox. Watch that video to get the full picture, and send Ralph Bronner, Emanuel’s son, healing thoughts. He does Random Acts of Kindness and Senseless Acts of Beauty. Amen.

HELPING PATCH ADAMS
BUILD HIS DREAM HOSPITAL

Patch Adams at Natural Expo East. I was deeply moved by his message. Hope to get some of it up on the Plant Your Dream Blogs here with Boiron Support. Last time I spoke to Patch he told me he needed $250,000. Hope he got it to take the next step.

Mickey Kallas of Boiron. We spent no less than 45 minutes together at the Natural Product Expo East. She planned to send me a unit promoting the Patch Adams Hospital project.

Mickey Kallas of Boiron was my main contact when I went to the Boiron Booth following the deep connection with Patch Adams at the Natural Product Expo East. Boiron is one of my Quintessential Solutions for the Compelling Health Issues Facing Us. Arnica Montana 30c is one of my signature remedies for pain relief. When I had hip revisions in 2001, I transitioned from Morphine to Arnica Montana much to the disbelief of the staff of the hospital. I cannot say everyone can do this, but this homeopathic remedy works for me. The M.D.’s at the teaching hospital, when I returned a year later for follow up, remembered me. One intern said he learned some things from me. When I asked what, he said about Homeopathy.

PATCH ADAMS REPRESENTS TO ME ONE OF THE PUREST OFFERINGS OF HEALTH CARE IN AMERICA

in the days when Patch lived in community serving others, M.D.s with a similar passion from service would work along side of him at around $300.00 per month wages. His dream is to build a model health clinic. I have numbers of videos of his talk that I will get up when I have the time and sponsors. There is a special formatting now of the Arnica product in a tablet form. Mickey said she would send me one of these Point of Sale Units. I would like to show it at the Pacific Symposium and have it be an offering of the Enchanted Garden Pantry.

THE FLU REMEDY FROM BOIRON IS CALLED OSCILLOCOCCINUM;
IT WORKS

The Boiron Flu remedy, the product you take at the first sign of flu, is my main Flu Remedy. I go into a store when I feel a flu coming on and ask for the Boiron product with the difficult name to pronounce that does the trick. I do not know why the product has such a difficult name, but for me, it does a wonderful job. I rarely am down with a flu. The product is called Oscillococcinum. I always like to have it in my medicine kit for the times when I will need it. There are times I feel flu coming on, and simply do not have the time.

When folks get together from different parts of the country, there is an exchange of bacteria and viruses new to each person. My intuition is to have this remedy on hand for the Pacific Symposium.

JONATHAN SHILOKA PURE PEPPERMINT OIL

I have about ten bottles of this on hand. It is the best. It was my constant ally on my East Coast Tour September 15-25. I received permission to have this sold at the Hillcrest Farmers’ Market at the stall of Mariah and Morea, who do massage there.

Jonathan Shiloka Peppermint Oil is outstanding.
Please order direct from Jonathan and let him know I sent you.
